End of Year Giving Opportunities 2020
The end of 2020 is in sight
And we are so grateful for all of the I.M. Terrell Family and Friends and everyone else who is a part of making I.M. Terrell what it is! So much has gone on both in front of the class and behind the scenes (or should we say behind the Zoom?)
We are thankful, so deeply thankful, for everything that everyone has done and continues to do to contribute to the dynamic excellence at I.M. Terrell even in the face of these uncertain times.
The Friends of I.M. Terrell foundation has likewise continued to grow and adapt to the evolving landscape of a post-Covid world. We are filled with excitement over new plans in the works and are eager to pass on updates in the coming weeks and months ahead. Together, we’re driving forward with the vision to increase community support, expand fundraising, and provide new opportunities for Apprentices with community-facing projects and partnerships.
As part of those efforts, we would like to introduce some new donation opportunities we will be participating in, starting this year!

PayPal is adding 1% to all donations made through their SEIZE THE SEASON campaign from #GivingTuesday, now through 12/31/2020.
No deductions, no fees, 1% bonus.
PayPal Giving Fund is a program that helps charities receive the financial support they need through processing donations directly through the familiar PayPal interface (waiving normal transaction fees) while also being eligible to gain a portion of online sales made through various partners. They have specifically offered a window of time in which they will add an additional 1% to donations made through their program, now through the end of the year. This is made in honor of GivingTuesday, a name given to both a particular day of giving and an organization that aims to help empower nonprofits with a specific focus on end of year giving.
Our partnership with the PayPal Giving Fund program will remain ongoing and donations are not limited to just this promotional period at the end of 2020.

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. It’s a day of focused giving toward nonprofits that takes place annually on the first Tuesday in December.
This year it’s happening on December 1, 2020.

This one day of giving is the annual lifeblood that many nonprofits depend on to carry them through the rest of the year. To put into perspective how impactful this day is, in 2019 Bill and Melinda Gates donated a reported $589 million to charities; in comparison, the grassroots giving efforts on GivingTuesday raised $1.9 billion, with an estimated $511 million of that from online donations.
PayPal Giving Fund helps people support their favorite charities online. The charities receive donations through PayPal, eBay, and other technology platforms and make grants to donors' recommended charities.
