Music Theory
Music is a language that speaks to all, a language that many speak, and yet a language—the syntax of which—few people understand. In Music Theory we look and listen to great music, and we explore how it works. Music, just like language, is replete with meaning. By dissecting and analyzing music, we study its organization, meaning, and learn why it has certain effects on us.
Piano
Class Piano is designed for students to establish a solid technical and interpretative foundation, which they can utilize to achieve their individual musical potential. Students work individually and in small groups to master the techniques of playing and to learn solo and duet repertoire, as well as collaborative accompaniment skills.
