Vocal Music
Vocal development begins at the age of around nine and continues into the late twenties. The most crucial time in the vocal development is around the high school years. Here, at I.M. Terrell, we offer the ability to work with our qualified vocal pedagogue in a choral classroom setting while still receiving a vocal music education catered to the individual’s goals and learning styles.
There is a saying that “anyone can sing,” but it takes dedication, hard work, and time to develop the voice to the professional level. That is what we offer and expect at I.M. Terrell Academy.
Private voice instructors offer voice lessons to students during class and after school. (Additional fees apply, but scholarships are available.) Music Theory courses are required for all four years of attendance. Through our four year plan, we prepare students with a rigorous, well-rounded music education and vocal upbringing that readies them for scholarship and collegiate/conservatory auditions in the field of music.
