I.M. Terrell Academy: Different by Design
Cowan Curriculum
Through the Cowan Curriculum, IMT provides a unique multi-disciplinary approach to language arts and history. It is designed to give students a high-quality liberal education like that which is provided students attending top-tier private schools. Through integrating the disciplines of literature, history, art, philosophy, and language, our Student Apprentices better understand the Human Condition.
Focused on Academics
Other than Physical Education, there are no U.I.L. Athletic programs at IMT Academy. For students and families looking for a school community that invests in the passions of the student while also allowing for self- paced exploration of other fields of study, IMT Academy offers an environment free of many of the distractions of traditional schools.
Continuous Collaboration
By housing dedicated STEM and VPA departments under one roof, collaborations between students and different departments naturally occur. Through these collaborations, talented Student Apprentices in one field can apply new ways of thinking to another field. The organic nature of these collaborations often leads to surprising results and amazing discoveries.
First Class Facilities
From an acoustically world class auditorium that the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra practices in, to STEM labs stocked with robotics equipment, wind tunnels, and a plasma cutter, to a repurposed football field that can be adapted for multiple purposes, both large and small, IMT Academy has the on-site resources to help bring to life anything you can imagine.
