Every year, YoungArts selects approximately 800 young artists in ten different disciplines from thousands of submitted applications. Those winners participate in National YoungArts Week and/or Regional Programs in Miami, New York or Los Angeles, where—for one intense week—they take Master classes with world-renowned artists, perform and exhibit in the most prestigious venues in the country, win cash awards of up to $10,000, get access to scholarships and become eligible for nomination as U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts. Applications are accepted in Cinematic Arts, Dance (including Ballet, Hip Hop, Choreography, and more), Design Arts (including Fashion, Architecture, Graphic Design, and more), Jazz, Music, Photography, Theater, Visual Arts and Writing (including our new Spoken Word category).
